Hollywood superstar actor, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, has confirmed on Twitter production for an unnamed Black Adam movie is starting in July 2020. Johnson replied to a tweet from sculptor King’s Letter which showed the former wrestler designed as one of Shazam’s most formidable foes.
In the reply, the actor thanks him for the support and that the project has been “with him for over 10 years” and the project’s production will begin in 2020. This wouldn’t be a surprise, murmurs of The Rock making his way as Black Adam has been a bit of a common thing. This next film is likely due to the success of Shazam!.

Earlier this year, DC launched a film based on the hero Shazam. The movie was well-received by critics and fans and garnered a clean $364 million worldwide, according to Box Office Mojo.
Black Adam is a holder of the wizard Shazam’s powers, he was overcome with hem and used them for evil such as killing the Pharaoh to take control. Without a way to take away Black Adam’s powers, the wizard was forced to banish him far away to the last star to keep him at bay.
While filming will start, there is no confirmation as to when this unnamed Black Adam movie will hit the big screen.
