It’s happening. The day is drawing closer and Black Widow is soon to hit the big screen. Running at just a few seconds over two minutes, Marvel has launched a brand-new trailer to showcase its latest film coming next year.
The film centers around Natasha Romanoff, AKA Black Widow, portrayed by Scarlett Johansson. The trailer doesn’t give too much away, but we do know she sees her sister again and returns home. We also get a speech from Romanoff about nothing lasting forever.
Black Widow is set to launch a mere six days before the anniversary of Iron Man 2, in which she debuted. The movie’s plot is still a bit hazy, but it will take place directly after 2016’s Captain America: Civil War and encompass Black Widow confronting her past. Outside of the slightly vague information given, fans are left mostly in the dark.
The trailer showed off some action scenes as well as the return of Alexi Shostakov AKA the Red Guardian, basically the Soviet version of Captain America.
Black Widow has been a long-running rumored film in the works. But, it was finally officially announced during 2019’s San Diego Comic-Con.
Black Widow will be coming to theaters May 1, 2020.
