Comedy Central’s long-running Tosh.0 isn’t coming back for another season with its upcoming 10-episode season being the last we’ll hear from the series. This flies in the face of January’s decision to renew it for another four seasons.
It isn’t all bad, though, as THR reports Comedy Central is aiding in finding a new home for the Daniel Tosh-hosted comedy series. This reversal could be in direct relation to the shift of management to Viacom’s Chris McCarthy. The ViacomCBS station is looking to put less of a focus on live-action series and put more toward its adult animation business alongside its topical series and feature films for TV.

A whopping 80 episodes were in the deal and would have sustained fans until 2024. This news also falls into a weird time as he was also in talks to host and executive produce an unscripted show alongside a script deal to act as the executive producer.
Tosh.0 will see its last season begin syndication on September 15. Tosh’s comedy series is far from the only one to face McCarthy’s wrath.
Drunk History suffered the same fate just yesterday when its sixth season, which ended earlier this month, turned out to be its last despite a planned seventh season in the works.
