The time has come to welcome back a legacy cartoon. During this year’s New York City Comic-Con, Hulu decided now’s as good of a time as any and shared a clip of one of its projects – a reboot of Animaniacs. The shared clip is clearly a parody of Warner Bros.‘ Jurassic Park.
Filled with plenty of self-aware humor, it certainly seems like Warner Bros. and Hulu want to capitalize on the nostalgia factor of the ventures of Wakko, Yakko, and Dot.
Watch the Animaniacs reboot clip:
Wellesley Wild of Family Guy and Ted fame will be acting as its showrunner. Wild will executive produce alongside Steven Spielberg and Warner Bros. Animation president, Sam Register. Justin Falvey and Darryl Frank, the co-founders of the series’ co-producer company, Amblin Television, will also play a role in the production. Fans can stream this reboot on Hulu on November 20.
Alongside the general look at the reboot, the clip also divulged a little, shocking reality. This is only the beginning – they’re rebooting Pinky and the Brain next.
