Triple Frontier‘s J.C. Chandor is in talks to act as the director of a brand-new Spider-Man spin-off film centered around Kraven the Hunter, according to Deadline. This new fascination with Kraven comes in the face of Sony churning out Marvel films with up to two flicks publically slated for 2021 – Venom: Let There Be Carnage and Morbius.

That’s not even all, though, as the studio also aims to bring a new Madame Web film, which has yet to be named. Both Matt Tolmach and Avi Arad are set to produce the film while the script will be written up by Matt Holloway and Art Marcum. This news comes not even a whole day since Olivia Wilde was found to be working on a hush-hush female-led Marvel film.
Kraven the Hunter has been starved for a film as of late and as Sony aims to cram more of an audience connection, now is as good of a time as any. The comic – which will no doubt be the inspiration for this flick – follows world-renowned Russian hunter Sergei Kravinoff. He turned into one of the most dangerous foes to grace Spidey’s pages.
Many of the details surrounding the film are under wraps.
