It really seems like Jackass star Steve-O is that one exception to the “only seen in movies” saying. What’s he done this time? He’s taped himself to a billboard to promote his upcoming comedy special, Gnarly.
Very much raw and stupid, Steve-O’s new special has a single trailer out on his website behind an age-gate. Priced at $9.99, you can stream the special for 30 days across a maximum of three IP addresses.

I’m attached to a billboard right now (swipe to see the whole thing) and want to emphasize that a team of real professionals rigged everything safely. There is zero chance of me falling, and it’s important to me that we not waste any valuable city resources on this. I’m happy to just hang out, and really want the world to know about this project I worked so hard on. It’s called Gnarly and, If you’re over 18, check it out at steveo.com! Thanks!
Of course, he made clear this was done by professionals and shouldn’t be recreated. It was also learned they used a lot of resources with LA Commanding Officer, for the Hollywood in particular, Brian Bixler, telling the LA Times that a lot of resources were used and that they’re trying to keep it minimal.
“We’re trying to keep them minimum for the fire department. But definitely the fire department has a lot of rigs out here, and it takes a lot of resources away from what we should be doing – make people safe.”
You can stream Gnarly on Steve-O’s official website.
