SpongeBob SquarePants’ lovable companion, Patrick, very well may be getting his very own show in the ways of The Patrick Star Show. Reported by Deadline, they claim the show will be similar to the average late-night talk show such as Comedy Bang! Bang!.

There’s been no clear confirmation of development by Nickelodeon as far as The Patrick Star Show goes.
Very little is known about the flagship franchise’s spin-off, but it wouldn’t be too shocking if they were to go down that road. Not too long ago, only last year, Nickelodeon revealed the first spin-off series was in-development as the controversial Kamp Koral, a SpongeBob spin-off that acts as a prequel to the series as a whole.
Kamp Koral‘s controversial due to the late creator’s thoughts on aging down the iconic characters, having to battle tooth-and-nail to keep SpongeBob and his friends as adults by compromising by having him in boating school. Needless to say, some saw the decision to announce this 13-episode CG series only seven months after his death as distasteful. Nevertheless, it was clear this wouldn’t be the end of the franchise’s expansion.
